DSE starts the week on higher note

Share prices at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended flat on Sunday despite uptrend in the early trading sessions as sale pressure dominated the market in the closing hour.
 
DGEN, the benchmark general index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended at 4171 points gaining 3.72 points or 0.09 percent.
 
 The All Share Price Index also advanced 5.65 points or 0.16 percent to end at 3,539.56 points while the DSE-20 index declined 15.49 points or 0.44 percent to close at 3,516 points.
Of the total issues traded 109 advanced, 129 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
 
Among the major sectors, NBFIs gained 1.53 percent, the biggest gainer, followed by Pharmaceuticals 0.25 percent and Banks 0.23 percent. Meanwhile Telecommunication advanced by 0.25 percent and Power ended flat.
 
The total turnover value at DSE stood at Tk 2.1 billion, going down slightly by 0.2 percent from the previous trading session.
 
United Airways, up 3.30 was the most traded stock of the day with a total turnover of BDT 230.6 million. 

 
Hakkani Pulp and Paper was the highest gainer of the day while Malek Spinning Mills Limited was the worst loser of the session.
